Questions
How do I convert percentage to CGPA?
Invert your institution's CGPA to percentage formula. Under CGPA × 10 (used by 25 institutions on this site, including VTU, SRM, VIT, KTU and Anna University), divide the percentage by 10: 75% is a CGPA of 7.5. Under CBSE's × 9.5, divide by 9.5: 75% is 7.89. Under (CGPA − 0.5) × 10, divide by 10 and add 0.5: 75% is 8.0.
What is 75% in CGPA?
7.5 under CGPA × 10, 7.89 under CGPA × 9.5 (CBSE and Delhi University CBCS), 8.0 under (CGPA − 0.5) × 10 (GTU, JNTU, BPUT) and 8.25 under (CGPA − 0.75) × 10 (VTU 2018 scheme).
What is 60% in CGPA?
6.0 under CGPA × 10, 6.32 under CGPA × 9.5, 6.5 under (CGPA − 0.5) × 10 and 6.75 under (CGPA − 0.75) × 10. Check which formula your university prints.
Is percentage to CGPA always percentage ÷ 9.5?
No. Dividing by 9.5 inverts CBSE's indicative rule for Class X CGPA (2010–2017) and Delhi University's CBCS rule. Most universities publish CGPA × 10, so their inverse is percentage ÷ 10; others subtract or add a constant.
Can a university convert my percentage into its CGPA officially?
Only the issuing university can certify a CGPA or percentage. This calculator inverts the formula the university publishes; it is an estimate for forms and applications, not a certificate.
