How your result is calculated
- Semester GPA = total grade points (grade point × credits) ÷ total credits; the CGPA adds the points and credits of all semesters (for example (57 + 50.25) ÷ (15 + 15) = 3.575, reported as 3.58).
- The CGPA is rounded to two decimal places.
- I (Incomplete), W (Withdrawal) and UW (Unofficial Withdrawal) carry no grade point. An I not completed, or an I or UW not dropped, within four weeks after the semester ends becomes an F.
- A course graded F must be retaken and may be retaken only once; the new grade is shown next to the F and is used in the CGPA.
- For the first four F grades in an undergraduate programme, the F stops counting once the course is retaken; from the fifth F onwards, both the F and the new grade count in the CGPA.
- A course passed with a grade point below 2.50 may be retaken.
- A CGPA below 2.50 places the student on academic probation.
- A minimum CGPA of 2.50 is required to graduate.
