GPA = (Σ compulsory grade points + max(0, optional − 2)) ÷ number of compulsory subjects, at most 5
Rules the calculator follows
  • The GPA includes the fourth (optional) subject: 2 is subtracted from the grade point obtained in the fourth subject, the remaining grade point is added to the total grade points, and that total is divided by the number of subjects other than the fourth subject.
  • If a student gets GPA 5.00 without the fourth subject, the fourth subject's grade point is not added.
  • A candidate who gets no F in any subject and a GPA of at least 1.0 is declared passed.
  • In subjects with more than one part (such as theory, practical, creative and multiple-choice), each part must be passed separately; the subject grade is based on the total marks of all parts, and failing any one part means failing the subject.
