How your result is calculated
- Each mark band includes its lower limit and excludes its upper limit (for example, A- is 80% or more but less than 85%); A is 85% or above and F is below 50%.
- The minimum pass mark in an undergraduate course is 50%.
- GPA = Σ (credit hours × grade point) ÷ Σ credit hours; the CGPA uses all credit courses since admission.
- Up to nine credit hours of electives taken on a Pass/Fail basis do not count towards the GPA/CGPA.
- A course graded C+ or lower may be repeated; every attempt stays on the transcript and the highest grade is used in the CGPA.
- A BS student is placed on probation when the CGPA (the GPA in the first semester) is below 2.0.
