Rules the calculator follows
  • CUST generally grades on a relative scheme. The marks bands are the university's grading policy for undergraduate courses from Fall 2020, and retake exams are graded on an absolute scale.
  • A withdrawn course (W) stays on the transcript but is not counted in the GPA.
  • A course graded F must be repeated; both attempts appear on the transcript, but only the grade from the later attempt counts in the CGPA.
  • Up to six courses may be repeated to improve the CGPA; both grades appear on the transcript and only the higher one counts.
  • An I (incomplete) grade not converted by the following semester becomes an F.
  • A CGPA below 2.00 brings a warning; two consecutive warnings mean probation, and not reaching 2.00 by the end of that semester ends the programme. The degree requires a CGPA of at least 2.00.
