Rules the calculator follows
  • Each mark band includes its lower limit and excludes its upper limit (for example, B is 50% up to anything below 60%).
  • A course is passed with grade P or better: at least 40% of the in-semester and end-semester marks combined, and at least 30% in the end-semester examination.
  • CGPA is the average of the semester SGPAs weighted by each semester's credits.
  • SGPA and CGPA are rounded off to two decimal places.
  • The overall letter grade follows the CGPA: below 4.0 F, 4.0–4.5 P, 4.5–5.0 C, 5.0–6.0 B, 6.0–7.0 B+, 7.0–8.0 A, 8.0–9.0 A+, 9.0–10.0 O.
  • An overall grade of B+ or above is First Class; B is Second Class.
  • A course graded F or Ab has to be taken again at the next chance.
