How your result is calculated
- GPA = sum of (grade × credit points) ÷ sum of credit points for all courses completed in the period.
- The fail grades 3, 2 and 1 count with those points; FNS (no work submitted) and WF (withdrawn with failure) count as 0.
- Non-graded passes and fails (NGP, NGF), transfer credit (T), withdrawals (W) and No Grade Associated (NOG) are left out.
- Program GPA and Career GPA include all attempts at all courses; a Trimester GPA covers the courses graded in one trimester.
- The GPA on the Academic Transcript is rounded to two decimal places (6.43556 → 6.44; 6.43442 → 6.43).
- A mark falling between grade brackets is rounded up. Honours and relevant Masters dissertations use a separate scale.
