Rules the calculator follows

  • GPA = Σ(course credits × grade points) ÷ Σ course credits over the courses graded in the semester; CGPA uses the same formula over all courses graded to date.

  • F (failure), I (incomplete) and DT (attendance shortage) carry 0 grade points.
  • After an F grade, a later attempt can earn at most a C grade.
  • Universal Human Values and Professional Ethics, Human Rights and Constitution, open electives and industrial training are left out of the GPA/CGPA: 148 of the 160 B.Tech credits count.
  • An audit course (AP grade) is not used in the CGPA.
  • The minimum CGPA for graduation is 5.0; no class or rank is awarded.
