How your result is calculated
- A course is passed with at least 40% of the marks in each head of passing (internal assessment, end-semester examination, practical and oral, as applicable).
- AB (absent) carries 0 grade points; the learner must reappear.
- SGPI = Σ(credits × grade points) ÷ Σ credits for all courses of the semester; F and AB count with 0 grade points.
- CGPI is the same credit-weighted average over all courses taken so far. A failed course counts with 0 points until it is passed; then only the new grade counts, and the course appears only once.
- SGPI and CGPI are calculated to two decimal places.
