How your result is calculated
- Grade point average = total grade points earned ÷ credits attempted; only courses graded A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D and F are used to determine credits attempted.
- Credits for courses graded F do not apply towards graduation.
- I, W and R: credits do not apply towards graduation and are not used in calculating the grade point average.
- Only grades earned in courses required for the degree are included in the GPA.
- When a course is retaken, only the best grade is used to calculate the CGPA; an F counts in the CGPA until the course is retaken or replaced and a better grade is obtained.
- The exact cut-off points for letter grades, and for + or -, are at the discretion of the individual instructor; + and - are worth 0.3 grade point.
- GPA 3.00 and above is equivalent to First Class, 2.50 to 2.99 to Second Class, and 2.00 to 2.49 to Third Class.
