How your result is calculated
- To pass a course you need at least a D (50%) in theory and in practical work separately; a practical is a separate one-credit-hour course marked out of 100.
- W (withdrawn) carries no grade point and its credit hours are not counted in the semester's credit hours; I (incomplete) is not counted in the GPA or CGPA.
- When a course is repeated, the new grade replaces the old one in the CGPA. Repeating to improve a grade is generally allowed only for students on probation with D or D+ (at most six courses, 18 credit hours).
- A CGPA of at least 2.00 is needed to stay in good standing and to graduate, with no F in any course; a first-semester GPA below 1.0 means expulsion.
