Rules the calculator follows
  • Grades come from relative marks: your percentage in a subject is scaled against the highest percentage scored in that subject, so a raw percentage does not map directly to a grade.
  • On the relative-marks scale the bands are: A++ 90 and above, A+ 85–89, A 80–84, B+ 75–79, B 70–74, C+ 65–69, C 60–64, D+ 55–59, D 50–54, E+ 45–49, E 40–44, F below 40.
  • A pass needs at least grade E in each theory and practical subject.
  • SGPA = Σ (credits × grade points) ÷ Σ credits over all courses registered in the semester.
  • CGPA = Σ (credits × grade points) ÷ Σ credits over all courses up to that semester with grade E or better; courses graded F are left out.
  • SGPA and CGPA are rounded up to two decimal places.
