Rules the calculator follows
  • Grades are awarded on the total marks out of 100 in each course (absolute marks).
  • GPA and CGPA = Σ(credits × grade points) ÷ Σ credits over the courses successfully cleared (in the semester for GPA, in all semesters for CGPA).
  • RA (reappear), AAA (absent), W (withdrawal) and ABS (authorized break of study) are left out of GPA and CGPA.
  • A pass needs at least 50% of the total marks and at least 30% in the end semester examination.
  • Additional credits earned beyond the curriculum are not included in the CGPA.
  • RA, AAA and W grades are left out of GPA and CGPA.

How is Sathyabama GPA calculated?

GPA is the average of your grade points weighted by credits: multiply each course's credits by the grade point for your grade, add these up, and divide by the total credits. Under Regulations 2023, A++ carries 10 grade points on a 10-point scale.

How is Sathyabama CGPA calculated?

CGPA is the average of the grade points of all courses taken so far, weighted by credits.
