How your result is calculated
- Each mark band includes its lower limit and excludes its upper limit (for example, A+ is 80.0% up to anything below 90.0%).
- The same table gives the letter for an SGPA or CGPA: 9.00–10.00 O, 8.00–<9.00 A+, 7.00–<8.00 A, 6.00–<7.00 B+, 5.50–<6.00 B, 5.00–<5.50 C, 4.00–<5.00 P, below 4.00 F.
- SGPA = Σ(credits × grade point) ÷ Σ credits; CGPA = Σ(semester credits × SGPA) ÷ Σ credits; both are rounded off to two decimal places.
- A student with grade F is failed in that course and has to reappear.
- Class on the final CGPA: 7.5 and above First Class with Distinction; 6.00–7.49 First Class; 5.50–5.99 Higher Second Class; 5.00–5.49 Second Class; 4.00–4.99 Pass.

How is SGBAU SGPA calculated?
SGPA is the average of your grade points weighted by credits: multiply each course's credits by the grade point for your grade, add these up, and divide by the total credits. Under NEP-2020 UG uniform structure (Direction 24 of 2026), O carries 10 grade points on a 10-point scale.
How is SGBAU CGPA calculated?
CGPA is the average of your term SGPAs weighted by credits: multiply each term's SGPA by its credits, add them up and divide by the total credits.
Is OpenCGPA an official SGBAU calculator?
No. OpenCGPA is independent and not affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. It applies the rules published in SGBAU's own documents, linked on this page. Your official result is the one on your grade card.
