How your result is calculated
- UCP generally grades on a relative basis (grades are distributed around the class's average performance); the marks ranges are the absolute-scale equivalents of each letter grade.
- GPA = sum of (grade points × credit hours) ÷ credit hours attempted in the semester; CGPA uses all credit hours attempted in the programme.
- W and I carry no grade points and are left out of the GPA and CGPA; FA (failed on attendance, below 75%) counts like F.
- A failed course must be repeated; both grades appear on the transcript. If a course is failed again on repeat, only one F is counted.
- To improve the CGPA you may repeat up to 6 courses within the normal degree duration; the better grade counts.
- Undergraduates must keep a CGPA of at least 2.00; below 2.00 brings a warning, two consecutive warnings mean probation, and the degree requires a CGPA of 2.0.
