GPA
GPA = Σ (Credits × Grade point) ÷ Σ Credits
CGPA
CGPA = Σ (Credits × Grade point) over all courses ÷ Σ Credits
Rules the calculator follows
  • Each whole percentage from 50% to 84% has its own grade point; 85% and above earns 4.00 and below 50% is F (0.00).
  • Letter grades: A is 80% and above, B is 65–79%, C is 55–64%, D is 50–54% and F is below 50%.
  • To pass a course you need 50% marks in aggregate of the mid-term, sessional and end-of-semester examinations.
  • GPA = total weighted points of all courses taken in the semester ÷ total credits enrolled for in the semester, where weighted points = grade points × credits of the course.
  • CGPA = total weighted points of all courses taken in all semesters ÷ total credits enrolled for in all semesters.
  • To pass a course you need 50% marks in aggregate of the mid-term, sessional and end-of-semester examination.
  • W (withdrawal) and I (incomplete) are also used.

Questions

How is UOG GPA calculated?

GPA is the average of your grade points weighted by credits: multiply each course's credits by the grade point for your grade, add these up, and divide by the total credits. Under Revised 2025 rules (undergraduate), A (85–100%) carries 4 grade points on a 4-point scale.

How is UOG CGPA calculated?

CGPA is the average of the grade points of all courses taken so far, weighted by credits.
