How your result is calculated
- GPA = sum of (credit points for each subject × grade points for that subject) ÷ total number of credit points attempted.
- Credit points attempted include subjects graded F, FNS, E and U; failing grades (F, E, U, PF, CF, FNS) carry 0 grade points.
- Not counted: Satisfactory (S), Withdrawn Without Academic Penalty (W), Advanced Standing (K and L) and Aegrotat Pass (Z).
- The GPA includes all subjects completed in the program, including subjects from a former program applied as internal credit. Repeated subjects count: both grades are counted and both stay on the transcript.
- You receive a Term GPA after each term's results and a Cumulative GPA across all your studies at the University.
- The University may issue an alternate GPA or a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) for specific programs, for instance Foundation Studies or to meet accreditation requirements outside Australia.
