  • Merit = Matric marks ÷ Matric total × 30 + Intermediate Part-I marks ÷ Part-I total × 30 + entry test marks ÷ 100 × 40. In UAF's example, 1005/1200 in Matric gives 25.125, 530/600 in Part-I gives 26.500 and 90/100 in the test gives 36.000.
  • The entry test covers the Intermediate Part-I and Part-II syllabus of your test stream in equal parts.
  • Minimum entry test score: 33% for the programmes of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology and 50% for DVM and Pharm-D. The other programmes have no minimum test score.
  • Admission is provisional until the combined Intermediate result. You then need the programme's minimum eligibility marks (without the 20 Hafiz-e-Quran marks) and a pass in all Intermediate subjects, or the admission is cancelled.
  • Hafiz-e-Quran candidates who pass UAF's Hafiz-e-Quran test/interview get 20 marks added to the marks of their last examination for merit.

Questions

How is the UAF aggregate calculated?

Matric / SSC counts 30%, Intermediate Part-I / equivalent counts 30%, UAF entry test counts 40% (UAF undergraduate merit (entry-test programmes), Academic session 2026-27). Each part is turned into a percentage of its total marks and multiplied by its weight. For example, 88% × 30% = 26.4, 82% × 30% = 24.6, 76% × 40% = 30.4, so the aggregate is 81.40%.

What are the minimum requirements?

Minimum entry test score: 33% for the programmes of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology and 50% for DVM and Pharm-D. The other programmes have no minimum test score. Admission is provisional until the combined Intermediate result. You then need the programme's minimum eligibility marks (without the 20 Hafiz-e-Quran marks) and a pass in all Intermediate subjects, or the admission is cancelled.

Can I enter marks instead of percentages?

Yes. Type the marks obtained and the total they are out of (for example 1015 out of 1100); the calculator turns each into a percentage before applying the weights. Leave "out of" empty to type a percentage.

Is this the official UAF merit?

No. OpenCGPA is independent. It applies the weights UAF published; merit lists and closing aggregates are set by UAF every year.
