Questions
How is the Bahria aggregate calculated?
BU Admission Test / ETS score counts 60%, HSSC / equivalent counts 30%, SSC / equivalent counts 10% (Bahria University undergraduate merit, Admissions Policy Edition 2 (in force from Spring 2022; current version on bahria.edu.pk on 2 October 2026)). Each part is turned into a percentage of its total marks and multiplied by its weight. For example, 88% × 60% = 52.8, 82% × 30% = 24.6, 76% × 10% = 7.6, so the aggregate is 85.00%.
Which formulas does this calculator include?
Bahria University undergraduate merit (BU Admission Test 60%, HSSC 30%, SSC 10%); Bahria University merit for health-sciences semester programmes (DPT, BS-MLT, BS-Biotech, BS-Nursing) (SSC 10%, F.Sc (Pre-Medical) 30%, CBT (computer-based test) 60%); Bahria University MBBS / BDS merit (NUMS-affiliated colleges) (SSC 10%, F.Sc (Pre-Medical) 40%, MDCAT (NUMS) 50%). Pick yours above; each is cited to the body that publishes it.
What are the minimum requirements?
You need at least 33% to pass the BU admission test for undergraduate programmes. Minimum HSSC marks: 60% for engineering (F.Sc Pre-Engineering or equivalent) and for medical sciences (F.Sc Pre-Medical), 50% for all other undergraduate programmes. Minimum HSSC (F.Sc Pre-Medical or equivalent): 60% for DPT; 50% for BS-MLT, BS-Biotech and BS-Nursing. You need at least 60% in F.Sc (Pre-Medical) / HSSC.
Can I enter marks instead of percentages?
Yes. Type the marks obtained and the total they are out of (for example 1015 out of 1100); the calculator turns each into a percentage before applying the weights. Leave "out of" empty to type a percentage.
Is this the official Bahria merit?
No. OpenCGPA is independent. It applies the weights each admitting body published; merit lists and closing aggregates are set by them every year.
